Rita Lita Hot Sauce

Rita Lita is an imaginary hot sauce brand created by the minds at Wonderkind Co. This spec brief requested packaging illustrations for a new artisanal hot sauce, Rita Lita. They wanted the illustrations to be playful & approachable, without overwhelming the package. They also want the design to speak to the authentic roots of the brand while remaining on trend.

When developing this illustration I focused in on the namesake of the brand. Rita Lita was a real person, the Grandmother of founders Gabriel & Jarret. I thought a woman who developed a killer hot sauce recipe would have the energy to match. I loved the idea of a glamorous, sassy, and spicy Abuelita. A woman who loves bingo, her grandsons, and her hot sauce.
